Unlike other no-contact cutting technologies, which have numerous limitations in terms of machinable materials, waterjet cutting does not have such a handicap. With this technology it is possible to cut almost all materials, from extremely hard ones like titanium, granite, impenetrable glass to the softest ones such as numerous composites, sponges, foams. One of the major advantages of this technology is the lack of energy input into the material, ie no heat affected zone (HAZ).

Some features of the Arpel Aquajet system include a stable steel structure, monolithic vibration-free design and a fourth axis in the form of a rotating stand with an AC servo motor enabling the processing of bulky objects.
