JOBS-KMT-SHAPE HIRING CNC MACHINIST

Job Title: CNC Machinist
Department: Fabrication
Status: Non-Exempt

$1,500 SIGN-ON BONUS AFTER 90 DAYS!!!

General Purpose:
Sets up and operates CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications or sample parts to determine specifications and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and set up requirements
• Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders and shapers
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control medial as required
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications
• Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data
• Installs machine replacement parts
• Confers with engineers and production to resolve machining or assembly issues
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• CNC machining experience and/or certification or enrollment in CNC certification program
Education and/or Training:
• High school diploma or GED
• Prefer a minimum of two (2) years machine operations experience and/or enrollment and completion of apprentice program.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
• Ability to stand for 8+ hour shift
• Lift up to 50+ pounds
• Push, pull, bend and twist upper and lower body. Extensive use of hands to grasp and adjust machinery

JOBS-KMT-SHAPE HIRING ACCOUNTING CLERK

Job Title: Accounting Clerk
Department: Finance & Accounting
Reports To: Assistant Controller
FLSA Status: Nonexempt

SUMMARY
Process accounts payable sales, bookings, and monthly reports by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned. Checks and approves all vouchers for payments, prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
Prepares accounts payable checks.
Prints accounts payable reports and maintains accounts payable files. Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
Assists in monthly closings.
Assists with special projects, as necessary.
Assists in the preparation and analysis of financial reports requiring the selection and interpretation of data.
Must understand the SHAPE/KMT Waterjet Quality Management System and how it relates to this position.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Job Title: BUYER
Department: Purchasing
Reports To: Purchasing Supervisor
Status: Non-Exempt

DESCRIPTION:
The buyer will be responsible for responding to manufacturing demand requests and place purchase orders for needed materials to meet manufacturing requirements. Participate in the discovery of new sources, negotiating pricing, supply stream establishment and part/print compliance to engineering requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of three years of experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of purchasing and supply chain concepts
• APICS, CPIM, NAPM certification is a plus
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
• Associate degree or equivalent training.
• Minimum 3 years’ purchasing/buying experience
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Experience with Microsoft office products and other software required.
