Hydrocut LX Waterjet System

For the most versatile, value added metal cutting systems, ESAB offers the Hydrocut LX waterjet system, which can be equipped with waterjet cutting only, or the patented PLASMA WATERJET combination.

Designed for heavy-duty, precision cutting over large working areas, the Hydrocut LX features a high-stiffness welded beam assembly with a dual precision linear way guiding system, three-axis rack-and-pinion drives, digital AC drives and AC brushless motors. The gantry features all-steel construction with machined mating surfaces for stiffness and accuracy, dual side drives and precision heavy duty gearboxes for smooth motion and durability.

Waterjet Cutting

The Hydrocut LX delivers the high precision of waterjet to the heavy fabrication and steel service industries.

The advantages of a non-thermal process and the precision of abrasive waterjet let operators produce perfect finished parts that require no secondary cleanup or machining.

Waterjet produces perfect holes of any size, and has the flexibility to cut almost any material or thickness.

Plasma Cutting

By combining these two complimentary processes on one machine, productivity is enhanced and part costs are reduced.

Plasma offers the high-speed and low cost cutting that waterjet lacks, and the two processes can be used together on the same part as required.

The Hydrocut LX can be equipped with up to four waterjet cutting heads, plus up to two plasma stations. It can also be equipped with various marking tools for high-speed text or line marking.

Louisiana Cutting uses an ESAB 17' x 41' table equipped with a Plasma Cutter and combined with a KMT Streamline150HP Redundant Waterjet Pump and up to 4 IDE Diamond Abrasive Cutting Heads to offer their large variety of customers the perfect fit to their cutting jobs. The diversity of the cutting system allows them to go from cutting most any size & thickness of carbon & stainless steel to aluminum to countertops to glass...all on the same table!
