Waterjet System Strips Jet Engines Clean
GE turned to KMT Robotics Solutions, a global leader in flexible robotic systems, to design and implement a more flexible, efficient, and cost-effective solution. The company’s solution was an open-loop customized stripping system utilizing a 6-axis robot, rotating table, and intuitive programming software.
“KMT worked hand-in-hand with GE Engineering to develop an efficient, open-loop filtering solution for stripping the process waste,” said GE Engine Services special process engineer John Segovia. “This included great outside-the-box thinking and simple ideas for a complex problem.”

Ranger Streamlines Boat Building with New Tool
By Jonathan Lee
Ranger Boats anticipates the JetTool to result in a cleaner work environment and improved cost savings.
KMT Robotic Solutions' JetTool's high-pressure, robotic water jet projects water through a near-microscopic nozzle at 60,000 psi, allowing it to make clean, uniform cuts. Before the KMT Robotic Solutions 60,000psi JetTool, it took four operators approximately 30 minutes to perform the same task the JetTool can do in 16 minutes. The JetTool provides a cleaner work environment, saves the company approximately US $100,000 per year in perishable tooling costs and the initial investment will be returned in less than three years!
Ranger Boats, Flippin, AR, has improved its boat manufacturing process with the use of a JetTool.

Still not convinced Water Jet can Cut Everything?!!!
Nick Jacob & Clint Schonacher of Louisiana Cutting used a KMT pump with abrasive water jet nozzle mounted to an ESAB cutting table to cut this 72" OD, 3" wall thickness, 516 Gr70
Elliptical Head.
The Elliptical Head is for a 6' OD x 10' Seam-Seam Production Separator (Pressure Vessel).
The 16-1/4" hole was cut 24" off center w/axis parallel to the vessel to accommodate the weld neck flange shown in the pictures.

Nominal thickness for the vessel is 3" which is comprised of a 516 Gr70 shell clad w/ ~1/4" of Inconel Alloy 625.
Because all work was done in reference
to the vessel's axis actual cutting thickness ranged from 3-1/8" to 6".
